With over thirty years of experience as a lawyer, Paul is a pillar in the South Asian Community, both as a lawyer and a community leader. Paul started his career as a Civil Engineer after graduating with a Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering from India Institute of Technology. He then furthered his education by obtaining a Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Waterloo in Canada and a Masters in Business Administration from Rutgers University. After working as an Engineer for fourteen years, Paul decided that he wanted to change his career path and decided to enroll in law school. Shortly thereafter, Paul graduated with his law degree from Seton Hall School of Law in 1981 and started his own practice, becoming one of the leading Asian Indian attorneys in New Jersey.
Paul is admitted to the New Jersey and New York Bars. He is a member of the NJ State Bar Association and a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA). Paul is also a Mortgage Banker licensed by the State of New Jersey, Department of Banking.
Paul has established himself as a community leader and has helped develop the strength of the Indian community through numerous political, social, and cultural programs and activities. He is the founder and founding President of the Asian Indian Chamber of Commerce.
With over ten years of experience, Mahesh is a well-reputed and successful attorney in New Jersey. Mahesh is a graduate of Boston University where he obtained a B.A. in Business Administration with dual concentrations in Finance and Operations Management. Mahesh graduated with his law degree and Masters in Business Administration from Seton Hall University in 2003. Mahesh is admitted to the New Jersey State and New York Bars.
Mahesh represents various large and small companies in New Jersey and has handled multi-million dollar transactions assisting clients in negotiating and closing on complex commercial matters. Mahesh is also known for being an excellent litigator by fighting for his client’s rights and getting them the best results possible in complex civil, criminal and matrimonial cases. Mahesh is involved in the community and was the former vice-president of the New Jersey chapter of the North American South Asian Bar Association. Mahesh practices all areas of law with primary concentrations in commercial transactions, civil litigation and family law.
Kavita graduated from York University in Toronto, Canada with a B.A. in Law & Society and Women Studies. Kavita graduated with her law degree from the University of Windsor (Canada) in 2002.
Kavita joined the firm in 2004 as a licensed New York attorney and practices primarily in the area of US immigration law. She represents companies and individuals before U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), the Department of Labor (DOL), the Department of State (DOS), Executive Office for Immigration Review (Immigration Court) and various other government agencies with regards to immigrant and non-immigrant employment and family-based applications and petitions, naturalization and removals. Kavita leads the immigration department for the firm.
Kavita was on the New Jersey chapter of the American Immigration Lawyer’s Association’s liaison committee for social security administration. She was also on the founding executive committee of the New Jersey chapter of the North American South Asian Bar Association as the Social Events Coordinator and while attending law school, worked with Community Legal Aid, a legal organization representing low-income community members. Additionally, Kavita co-authors “Immigration Matters”, a monthly immigration article which is published in various periodicals in New Jersey and the tri-state keeping the community updated and aware of changes in the realm of immigration law.
Oscar A. Escobar, Jr. is a senior associate with Rajan & Rajan, LLP. Mr. Escobar focuses his practice in the areas of civil litigation, commercial & residential transactions and municipal court violations.
Mr. Escobar has litigated various commercial and employment disputes as the senior litigation associate for a law firm in Middlesex County wherein he successfully defended and resolved numerous claims of employment discrimination and breach of contract.
He is committed to serving clients, ranging from first time home buyers requiring personal attention to seasoned business persons and entrepreneurs engaged in complex negotiations and disputes.
Navin graduated from Rutgers University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Arts and Sciences with a major in Criminal Justice in 2006. He furthered his education and received his law degree from Widener School of Law in 2011 and is a member of the New Jersey Bar
As a recent addition to Rajan & Rajan, Navin practices in the area of Immigration Law, Real Estate and Commercial Transactions. While in law school, Navin was a member of the Delaware Civil Clinic where he provided legal services to assist victims of domestic violence.
Punita graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor concentration in Business and Sociology from The Pennsylvania State University in 2011. She later obtained her Juris Doctorate degree from Villanova University School of Law in 2015.
Punita is a member of the New Jersey Bar and Pennsylvania Bar. She has gained experience in general practice working in a variety of areas and currently works as an associate with Rajan and Rajan LLP with a special focus in family immigration.
Adrian Rastocny is an associate with Rajan and Rajan LLP, concentrating primarily in the firm’s family law department. Ms. Rastocny obtained her Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude, from Montclair State University and attended Seton Hall University School of Law where she obtained her Juris Doctorate Degree in 2015. During law school, she worked as a judicial intern for the Superior Court of New Jersey and participated in the Seton Hall Law Center for Social Justice’s Family Law Clinic where she represented indigent clients.
Prior to joining Rajan and Rajan, LLP, Ms. Rastocny served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Mara Zazzali-Hogan, J.S.C., in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Family Division, Monmouth County. She was admitted to practice in the state of New Jersey in January of 2016 and is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association and Young Lawyers’ Division.
